because i have such a pitiful life, i’m blogging from my sofa using my wii. it’s slow but not too bad thanks to the suggested word feature.

one simple channel i think users would enjoy is a globe, similar to the weather channel except that, instead of weather data, you could access demographic and key facts. you could select from different modes: cities, provinces, countries, continents, or geographic features, like rivers, mountains, etc.

i say this because my kids and i actually spent more than 30 minutes playingenuity with the weather globe, locating cities where friends and family lived. i would think it wouldn’t be hard to tie the globe to existing info on the web. even better would be some kind of notes system.

then, again, there’s probably already some google maps mashup that does that.
